In the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Safe and Fair programme is a 25 million euro investment implemented through a partnership between ILO and UN Women with the overriding objective of ensuring that labour migration is safe and fair for all women in the ASEAN region, namely: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam.

Central Asia
The Spotlight Initiative Regional Programme in Central Asia focused on ending all forms of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), the transformation of national legislation to meaningfully prevent and protect against SGBV and harmful practices, and ensuring support and redress for survivors. This programme concluded in 2023.
Safe and Fair
Safe and Fair aimed to ensure a safe and fair migration for women migrant workers in ASEAN countries. The programme concluded in 2023.
Tajikistan
Spotlight Initiative contributed to the elimination of sexual and gender-based violence by responding to the needs of women and girls and addressing the underlying causes of violence against women and girls using a multi-sectoral and intersectional approach. The programme concluded in 2023.
Kyrgyzstan
The Spotlight Initiative in Kyrgyzstan applied a comprehensive set of approaches based on social innovation, human rights, multi-sectoral inclusive response and survivor-centred principles. A particular emphasis was placed on integrating the voices, experiences and solutions of women and girls who face multiple forms of discrimination. This programme concluded in 2023.
Afghanistan
The Spotlight Initiative in Afghanistan targeted the most at-risk groups to accelerate efforts towards the elimination sexual gender-based violence and harmful practices. The programme concluded in 2023.
